These Republicans Are Sticking With Thomas Massie
Most Republicans are following Donald Trump’s orders and opposing Thomas Massie’s reelection campaign. They are more than happy to punish the congressman for staying true to the America First principles that got the president elected.
Thankfully, there are some exceptions. Representatives Lauren Boebert, Warren Davidson, Victoria Spartz, and Senator Rand Paul all stumped for Massie at his Saturday rally in Kentucky, risking facing Trump’s wrath on Truth Social in the name of doing what is best for our country. Former lawmakers Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Dana Rohrabacher, and Justin Amash also joined the rally.
Supporting Massie could have harsh short-term consequences. Trump and the Israel lobby have teamed up to pump millions of dollars into the effort to unseat the congressman, and they could do the same to punish those who support him. Anyone willing to stick with Massie anyway deserves praise. Unlike most of Washington, they truly care about our country.
