DHS to Deny Green Cards to Immigrants on Welfare
America’s immigration policy is supposed to exist to improve the United States. The Trump administration understands this basic concept.
The Department of Homeland Security is reviving a rule that could deny green cards to foreigners who use food stamps, Medicaid, and housing vouchers. The policy first took effect in 2020, but Joe Biden rescinded it the next year. It will officially return on Monday.
Considering the U.S. has a $1.4 trillion budget deficit, it is hard to understand how anyone could support importing immigrants who we know will suck up tax dollars. Why would we open our doors to anyone who is not ready to contribute to our society?
